Nelson Jr. number one in Puerto Rico BSN for week 21

American Point guard Jameer Nelson Jr. (185-PG-2000) had an amazing evening in the last week for Osos de Manati, receiving a Hoops Agents Player of the Week award for week 21.
The 25-year old player was the main contributor (39 points, eight rebounds and eight assists) to his team's victory, helping them to edge out Santurce (#5, 11-14) 95-93. Osos maintains the 6th position in their group in the Puerto Rican BSN. Manati is rather a weak team placed in lower part in the standings. They need more victories to improve their 10-16 record. In the team's last game Nelson Jr. had a remarkable six three-pointers out of 7 attempts. He just recently signed at Osos, being already a very valuable addition to the team. Jameer Nelson Jr. averages this season 21.3ppg and 5.3apg.

The second best player in last week's games was young American Jacob Wiley (203-C-1994) of Santeros de Aguada. Wiley had a very good evening with a double-double of 28 points and 11 rebounds. Bad luck as Santeros lost that game 91-98 to slightly lower-ranked Ponce (#4, 11-16). It was definitely game of the week between two contenders to the top position in Group A. Aguada still maintains its place in the top 3 of the standings, even despite this loss. His team is not often considered as one of the league's best with a mere 11-13 record. Wiley is one of the most experienced players at Aguada and has a reputation of one of team's most reliable players.

Third on the list of top players last week was American forward Davon Jefferson (203-F-1986) of Cangrejeros de Santurce (#5). Jefferson showcased his all-around game by recording 21 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists in the last week. Despite Jefferson's great performance the Cangrejeros lost 93-95 to slightly lower-ranked Manati (#6, 10-16). But his team cannot count on just a single player as he also needs help of the other teammates. The chances of Santurce ranking at the top of Group B, however are very questionable as they have already lost 14 games, recording just eleven victories. With bigger assistance of his teammates, Jefferson could help Santurce to bring them higher in the standings. Jefferson has a great season in Puerto Rico. After 19 games, he made it on the list of the league's leaders in rebounds with 7.8rpg (7th best).

8. Emmanuel Mudiay (196-G-1996) of Quebradillas - 25 points, 3 rebounds and 5 assists
9. Moses Brown (218-C-1999) of Caguas - 21 points, 9 rebounds and 2 assists
10. Torrey Craig (198-F-1990) of Guaynabo - 18 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists
